Essential Travel Info for Kilifi
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for non-residents.
All non Kenyan citizen visitors, including infants and children, who intend to travel to the Republic of Kenya are required to have an approved Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before the start of their journey. eTA applications are usually processed in 3 days. However, it is recommended applications be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to travel to ensure adequate time for processing.
Most hotels, restaurants, and larger businesses accept major credit and debit cards, while mobile money (M-PESA) is widely used. Carrying a small amount of cash is recommended for local markets and smaller vendors. Some establishments carry an additional surcharge on card payments
ATMs are easily available in Kilifi CBD.
Boda boda and Tuk Tuks are the widely used forms of public transport

Climate and Packing Tips
Kilifi enjoys a tropical coastal climate with warm temperatures throughout the year. Lightweight clothing is recommended, along with a light sweater for cooler evenings. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are also advisable for daytime activities.
• Yellow fever immunization is compulsory, and you need to present your Yellow Card (International Certificate of Vaccination) when entering Kenya.
• Malaria precaution is advised.Ensure you stay hydrated and have mosquito repellent, particularly during the evenings.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended year-round.

Booking Process

To snag your room and lock in your rate, we need a 50% deposit when you book. Final balance must be cleared no less than 45 days to your arrival. Alternate payment schedules can be considered on a case by case basis
Just a heads-up, all bookings depend on availability and aren't fully confirmed until we get that first deposit.

Cancel 91+ days out: You'll get your initial 50% deposit back, minus any small transaction or admin fees.
Cancel 61-90 days out: There's a 20% cancellation fee.
Cancel 31-60 days out: A 50% cancellation fee applies.
Cancel 30 days or less out: Unfortunately, no refund is issued at this point.
How to Cancel: Send us your cancellation request in writing. If a refund is due, we'll process it within 14 business days of getting your request.
